Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Question Typically, when and where do classes meet? Answer Most of our classes meet either on Sunday's at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland during one of the two church services or Wednesday evenings at the Seventh Day Adventist School in Kirkland. Occasionally, classes are taught evenings during the week in the home of either a facilitator or student.
Question Do I have to attend Antioch Bible Church to enroll in these classes? Answer No. Classes are open to anyone who wishes to enroll.
Question What is the cost per class? Answer Currently, all classes are $25 except for Growing Kids God's Way which is $35. Class fees include all class materials such as handouts, resource materials and workbooks. Please let us know, however, if the cost of a class is preventing you from participating as other arrangements might be possible.
Question Is this an Ezzo ministry? Answer As you can see on our classes by title page, we do use the Growing Families International curriculum produced by Gary and Anne Marie Ezzo. However, we also use material from Dr. James Dobson and others, and we supplement our classes with tools and recommended readings from additional sources.
Question Should a parent seek to teach their children to adhere to the moral law of God? Answer Our curriculum teaches that the answer is "yes". But the goal of parenting is not merely well-behaved children. By God's grace, it is to reach a child's heart for Christ.
Question My children are older. Is it too late to start taking parenting classes? Answer Never! Biblical principles applied effectively achieve results at any age. Whether you’ve just gotten off on the wrong foot with your young child’s sleeping routine or you are the parent of a rebellious teenager…..it is not too late to start!
Question What is the typical class duration? Answer Classes range in duration from 5 weeks to 18 weeks.
